Its in the Bag

Or should I say the Boat & Tote!  Here I have a few pictures of ways we currently use our Boat & Totes, plus a list of ways we have used them in the past.

-Picnic bag
-Children's books
-Family gift
-Car tote
-Library books
-Mobile bill paying station
-Helmets (when we were younger)
-Bedside tote with books, flashlight etc.
-Mail bag. If it comes in, it goes in the bag
-Child paraphernalia, you know what I mean!

Now for the pictures...

We use three medium totes as school bags for the girls

And like everything in our house, they are color coded.

They are just the right size for their books and pencil boxes

We use extra large totes as laundry hampers. 

Color coded too! Each kid has one and then brings to the laundry room.

This large tote is a mainstay in the car.

It coordinates with the cooler perfectly.

 

The is what we call our "Travel Tote". 

A friend of Mom put the names of the places we have traveled to on it.

And this is my pink collection.

I use my medium for magazines. Southern Lady, Southern Living, Real Simple, Tea Time, Paula Deen, and believe it or not,  The Hockey News.

The small always holds my cross-stitch projects.

we use Boat & Totes for just about everything, even our bathroom tissue!

The medium holds 9 Charmin Family Rolls, in case you were wondering.

Isn't this stuff flat-out adorable?  Cupcake toppers, liners, old-fashioned paper straws, be still my beating heart.

The straws are great by themselves, but....

Pair them with flags and labels, and they can't be beat!

Fabulous Friday Find (Christmas List Edition)

Happy Friday/Day before Christmas Eve everyone!

For today's find I have a list of things I love so much they made it on my Christmas list.  I try to limit my list each year, and have variety, i.e. everything can't come from Williams-Sonoma.

Delicious Deals at Williams-Sonoma

The other day when I was out running errands I stopped by Williams-Sonoma to check out their winter sale, and I'm SO glad I did! I ended up purchasing 15 items, some to use as gifts and some to go in my hopechest for my future home. But the best part is that the most expensive item was $7.99.

I have already decided on a color scheme/theme for my future kitchen, red and white with retro accents. Knowing this makes hopechest shopping alot easier. I loved this apron when I saw it months ago. It was perfect, white with touches of red and the retro egg beater was to cute! But I decided to wait and patience pays off, literally! I bought 3, 1 for my hopechest and 2 for gifts.

As I was checking out the lady asked "Did you see the matching kitchen towel?"  "Kitchen towels!" my eyebrows probably went half way up my forehead. I ended up with 2 sets (of 2 each), 1 for my hopechest and 1 to give as a gift.

                                            I have saved my favorite find for last.

Isn't this adorable! I love how it features each step of making an apple pie. I have many wonderful memories of cooking in my Nana's kitchen, always wearing a special apron she kept for her grandchildren. One day (after a good ironing) this will be worn by my own children or little sisters when they come to visit
