Taco Soup

Today I want to share a favorite family recipe with y'all.  My mom loves this recipe because you can just put it all in the pot, let it simmer and 2 hours later you have a delicious soup for the family!

Taco Soup
2 lbs. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 28oz cans diced tomatoes
1 16oz can whole kernel corn
1 16oz can pinto beans
1 16oz can red beans
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg ranch dressing mix

Brown beef and onion together.

Add remaining ingredients, stir and simmer for 2 hours.

We like to serve ours with Frito chips, sour cream and cheese.

It smells soooo good!

  1. Found you at the Growing Home link up! I love tacos and soup, so I will certainly be trying this soon. And the fact that your blog has "southern" in the name - well, my husband should surly like anything you post! lol {He's a southern boy through and through!}

    I'd love to invite you to link up with us next week at Hidden Treasures. We're having a "warming up winter" link party all week! I'd love to have you share this recipe and any others that might go along with our theme. Soups, drinks, crafts like scarves...whatever you may have. You can link up more than once!!

    Thank you so much for the recipe!!
